Police have released few details about the shooting, which took place at Richard Cline’s home, 10916 Blue Stem Back Road. But an arrest affidavit for Morgan Cline states his two brothers heard someone enter Richard Cline’s house Saturday morning, followed by the sound of a gun being cocked and then a single gunshot.
“Witnesses received a call from their brother Morgan Cline,” the affidavit states. “Morgan asked if their dad was dead.”
Authorities said while police were conducting a follow-up investigation, Morgan Cline returned to the home with a weapon and his mother, who told police Morgan Cline admitted shooting his father. He is jailed without bail on a first-degree murder complaint.
